El marketing es también el conjunto de actividades destinadas a lograr con beneficio la satisfacción del consumidor mediante un producto o servicio.

El proceso social y administrativo por el que los grupos e individuos satisfacen sus necesidades al crear e intercambiar bienes y servicios. También se le ha definido como el arte o ciencia de satisfacer las necesidades de los clientes y obtener ganancias al mismo tiempo. Es en realidad una subciencia o área de estudio de la ciencia de Administración.
